A Whirlwind
This post is
really short because I’ve been working on my final project all day. Tomorrow I
present it, and when I finish I will be done with my first semester of grad
school. What a whirlwind it’s been these past 8 months. I graduated undergrad
in early May and stepped right back into the classroom a week later to take
some summer grad classes. I found time during June to attend my best
friend’s wedding and work for two weeks at Camp Tecumseh. Then in mid July I
was back in the classroom and have been biking back and forth from my house to
the business school ever since.
The first semester
is called the core and it was an experience for sure. From case presentations
to ambiguous assignments, coding, and 3 hour classes, somehow I’ve survived. It
was psychologically painful at times, but I knew I was going to get through it.
Like God says in Romans 5:3-5, “Not only so, but we
also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces
perseverance; perseverance,
character; and character, hope. And hope does not put
us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the
Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” I’ve had hope that tomorrow
will come. It will be here shortly and I will enjoy reflecting on this
whirlwind.
